Orange and orange sable dogs became very popular in the beginning of the 20th century and keep the leading position till today. They also come in cream, black, blue, and other colors. Whitish dogs have a black nose and should not have lemon markings.

This is the breed’s original color pattern that was common in the Arctic and came only in solid color. These snowy dogs did well in sledding and had to survive harsh weather conditions. The initiation of breeding as pets changed the breed in size with a rainbow of colors added.
